Dr. Candice Lucas​
​
Dr. Candice A. Lucas is the Senior Vice President for Equity and Advocacy at the Urban League of Rochester. She is an executive leader committed to achieving equity for Monroe County residents. With 20 years’ experience in addressing the needs of underserved individuals across Greater Rochester, she has developed and led programs and initiatives aimed at improving the health and well-being of residents, advocated for policy and system changes to address structural inequity, and collaborated with stakeholders to work toward the common good for all residents.
Dr. Lucas received her Doctorate in Education from St. John Fisher College, and her Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science from Rochester Institute of Technology. She is a certified executive coach and has served as a mentor and preceptor to high school and undergraduate interns, medical students, and medical residents. She is a graduate of the African American Leadership Development Program (2008), Leadership Rochester (2010), the Leadership Coaching Certificate Program (2013) and the Healthcare Business Academy (2018). She has served on numerous nonprofit boards and was elected to leadership roles of chair, president and secretary. She is also currently campaigning for a seat on the Monroe County Legislature District 29.
